Unfortunately, the person we were going to work with has been completely unresponsive and apparently doesn't want my money. I had worked with him before and he came recommended from Gertie, but enough is enough, so we've gone elsewhere for the initial server setup. Hopefully it will all be completed tonight whil I am away and couldn't be doing anything anyways. I will keep you posted.

From "mouse" - thanks for all of your hard work and dedication, kiddo! Make certain that you include listing what you've had to go through to maintain and restore SD-1.Net (and thus all the dedication you've had for all of your fans of SD-1.Net) on your resume . . . companies should know that you are a dedicated clever fellow who works really hard on a project . . . and, companies should be fighting each other to get the chance to hire you, and pay you lots of money! *hug*

Dude, what you were doing in the past few weeks is amazing. I'm writing from Hungary, and I want you to know, that the hungarians are with you.

Peace, Pezsmapocok

I start by saying that I am completely stupid when it comes to understading how all of this works- so if someone wants to "splain" it to me I would surely love to learn

If you have the money and a lot of people using the board isn't it logical that a "computer programmer guy" can make us a place to go?

or is it that we have been trying to fit 19000 peoeple into a tiny 7 11 and even though we want to buy a walmart there are no wal marts for us to buy so they have to build one ???? and then it is more money than we have???

if that kind of makes sense could someone tell me?

My one freind sets up groups on MSN a lot and she does it in like 5 mnutes so I am guessing if it was that easy and supported all the stuff we needed we would have done that- like I said I cannot complain about I do not understand

I am in my 30's living and have a university degree but computers and the internet -- don;t ask me how it all works. I read that our server needs to be dedicated does that mean - using my wal mart analogy- that we have to have our own road leading to the store and only club members can shop there?

I would like to be informed

and does this also mean that when it comes back it will be all different from how it looked and worked before?

as I said this is no insult - I am just not getting why it has to be broken for such a long time

HELP me understand

Brenda
