You know the saying, "No news is good news?" Well, unfortunately, that's not entirely true. The trouble ticket I have in with Invision hasn't been touched since I last asked for shell access to do the work myself and I'm just left hanging here. I'm going to request access again so when I get home from work tomorrow night I can start to work on getting the boards back online. I never imagined it would take a week, but sometimes, as a frequent customer says at work, "that's the way the mop flops."
Many thanks for all the nice comments left on my last post - it's much appreciated and I look forward to getting things up and running again as soon as humanly possible.

And even if they still slack off, maybe (and this is like the last resort thing) we could send an e-mail to J.J. care of supportALIAS asking him to help us out or something.
Like i said though, only as a last resort.
Hopefully the slackers will get off their huge behinds and get something done soon. I know it must be seriously frustrating for you, Blake, but by the sounds of things your handling the stress well. Just remember it should (hopefully) be all over soon.

Oh my...I am not long a member, but exactly in this week I had holidays and wanted to enter in the forum and go through a few threads and topics....but the boards are down and down, I just can't wait to see them back!

You're the best for everything you're doing. I'm going insane without sd1 (a couple of days ago i was so bad I was running back every half hour to see the updates... I don't think that's healthy!) but I do appreciate all your work, especially on top of real life :)

I am sad that the boards weren't up during my vacation, but I can live with that...these boards are truly worth the wait.

Bad service. Halty, intermittent serving (on every hosted board). Constant critical DB f*ups. I'm thinkin'it might be time to look for hosting away from invision's servers.
But I appreciate your work having to put up with them for us, Blake. Good luck.

Take all the time you need, Blake, to fix the boards the right way because I'd rather have to wait a little longer for the boards to be back up than getting them back up quickly, but they end up crashing two days later. Besides, I've discovered there are actually things outside of the boards: homework, fanart, and the real world ;-). Thanks for all the great work.
